Remarkable improvements in performance for the Go GC, Rick Hudson is claiming this could replace C now in all domains, which is a pretty bold claim.

I was disappointed to hear that the compiler is a lot slower in 1.5 though, that makes developing apps with a tight edit-compile-test loop a bit more difficult. Let's hope they can improve that next.
